Workshop on Import and Export of Research Data and Materials

Governments worldwide have implemented data protection laws and regulations to address the growing challenges of data privacy and security.  These laws and regulations also govern the import and export of research data.

To raise awareness of the relevant research data transfer policies, a workshop is being offered to all teaching/research staff and research postgraduate students. Key requirements of data transfer will be introduced.  In particular, the requirements and procedures for transferring certain types of non-genetic data from Mainland China will be discussed.

We strongly recommend that all relevant staff and students attend this workshop.
