Workshop on Import and Export of Research Data and Materials under Mainland's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL)

Governments worldwide have implemented data protection laws and regulations to address the growing challenges of data privacy and security.  These laws and regulations also govern the import and export of research data.

To raise awareness of the relevant research data transfer policies, a workshop has been held on 25th June 2024 to all teaching/research staff and research postgraduate students to introduce the key requirements of data transfer.

This workshop is the 2nd part of a series of workshops regarding cross-border data transfer, which will be more in-depth with specific examples being discussed.  We strongly recommend that all relevant staff and students to attend this workshop.
