CUHK Alumni Receives 3 Awards at the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge (HKSEC) 2021-22
The Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge (HKSEC) is a social venture startup competition organised by the Center for Entrepreneurship, CUHK and sponsored by the Home Affairs Bureau. HKSEC aims to accelerate the growth of social enterprise startups led by young people, participated by approximately 500 students (150 teams) this year.
The winners of the HKSEC 2021-22 have been selected following several rounds of exciting competition.
We are glad to announce that Neurodyssey Association 心腦歷情 and Retrovert, which consist of CUHK alumni, won the 1st Runner-up Awards. Neurodyssey Association 心腦歷情 also won the Social Ambassador IP Award sponsored by the Intellectual Property Department.
The first winning team, Neurodyssey Association 心腦歷情, is dedicated to promoting the well-being and accelerating the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development of SEN children through the provision of affordable customised intervention programs designed by registered therapists.
The second winning team, Retrovert, provides a secondhand clothing platform that helps reduce fashion waste by recycling used clothing and redistributing it through online and physical stores. Job opportunities for underprivileged women (young mothers and NEETs) are offered at Retrovert, aiming to enhance their quality of life.
