Event Highlight | CUHK and CUHK(SZ) Joint Seminar Series: From CUHK to Space - The Use of GeoInformation Science and Technology for Interdisciplinary Research
The eighth episode of CUHK and CUHK(SZ) Joint Seminar Series, "From CUHK to Space - The Use of GeoInformation Science and Technology for Interdisciplinary Research" was held successfully last Thursday (June 30, 2022). The webinar gathered over 70 academic staff and research students from both Hong Kong and Shenzhen campuses for academic exchange and dialogue.
In the webinar, Prof. KWAN Mei Po (Choh-Ming Li Professor of Geography and Resource Management; Director, Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, CUHK), Prof. HUANG Bo (Professor, Department of Geography and Resource Management; Associate Director, Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, CUHK) and Prof. MA Peifeng (Research Assistant Professor, Institute of Space and Earth Information Science, CUHK) shared their latest research directions and findings pertaining to the use of remote and mobile sensing technologies and their applications in different areas such as public health, geography, etc. During the Q&A and interaction session co-chaired by Prof SHAM Mai Har (Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Vice-President (Research), CUHK) and Prof. LIU Guozhen (Associate Professor, School of Life and Health Sciences, CUHK(SZ)), the professors from ISEIS also invited faculty members and researchers from different disciplines and faculties for research collaborations.
