As one of the programmes for the CUHK Entrepreneur Day 2022 (E-Day), the latest episode of "Happy Hour Entrepreneurial Talk" on "From Professors to Entrepreneurs: The Road to Pre-natal Diagnosis Around the World" was held successfully on 23 September 2022 (Friday). Facilitated by Emeritus Professor Walter HO (Former Director of ORKTS), the sharing session had Professor Dennis LO (Li Ka Shing Professor of Medicine), Professor Professor Rossa CHIU (Professor of Chemical Pathology) and Professor Allen Chan (Professor of Chemical Pathology) to share their entrepreneurial experiences on commercializing their research on liquid biopsy for pre-natal and early cancer diagnosis through IP licensing, business development and decision making. The speakers also covered the importance of protection of IP as well as their legal battle against another university over their patented technology.
