On Aug 3 2023, we had an incredible time co-hosting the Legal Series 8 – Investment Agreement event at CUHK InnoPort. The workshop brought CUHK start-ups and entrepreneurs together, creating valuable connection and sparking the innovative ideas.

In this session, Mr. Pádraig Walsh, Partner, Tanner De Witt provided an in-depth look of the preparation of investment agreement, starting from its preliminary discussion, term sheet draft, due diligence, transaction documents.

Pádraig also quoted that the art of risk taker is to protect the downside. For investment negotiations, it is a game of information and information gives you power. The entrepreneurs themselves must seek to understand their needs rather than their wants.
