The Award Ceremony of The Vice Chancellor's Cup of Student Entrepreneurship (VCCE) 2024 was held on 17 June 2024, in recognition of our outstanding student entrepreneurs. The award ceremony was officiated by Professor Alan CHAN, Provost of CUHK, who set the tone with his inspiring and motivational opening remarks.

The Vice Chancellor's Cup of Student Entrepreneurship (VCCE) is an annual entrepreneurship competition co-organized by the Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer Services (ORKTS) and the Center for Entrepreneurship (CfE). This long-standing, campus-wide competition aims to provide a platform for students to develop and showcase their business ideas, and to nurture future entrepreneurs from the University’s network. This year, some 60 applications had been received, involving over 140 students from all eight faculties, which were of exceptional quality including innovative business ideas and non-profit projects.

After keen competition, four teams emerged as award winners for their outstanding performances at the VCCE. A huge congratulation to the awardees!

This year's VCCE began with a mixer event on 16 March 2024, to provide all applicants with an opportunity to network with CUHK entrepreneurial seniors and better prepare for their business pitch. After which, 20 finalists were shortlisted to present their ideas at the Final Pitching round on 13 April 2024.

A judging panel was cordially invited to evaluate the Final Pitch performance of the selected finalists. Members of the Judging Panel include: Professor Benny ZEE (Director of ORKTS), Professor CHEN Chun (Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering), Professor CHUNG Peichi (Department of Cultural and Religious Studies), Professor LI Zheng (Department of Surgery), and Dr. Frank NG (Associate Director of CfE).
