Organized by InvestHK, the Women's Health & Tech Forum 2025 was successfully held on 4th March 2025 at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. This event united over 180 expert leaders from various fields, including academic professionals, healthcare experts, local and global biotech founders, women leaders, government representatives and capital investors, to strengthen the women’s ecosystem in addressing the diverse health needs of women.
As Hong Kong is home to remarkable female innovation leaders who are transforming research into commercially viable products with global impact, this inaugural women’s health forum delved into the demand for women’s health, highlight Hong Kong’s R&D capabilities, and discuss the supportive government policies and accessible funding that facilitate innovation in women’s health technologies. Our University was honored to have Professor Siew-Chien NG (Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Medicine and Croucher Professor in Medical Sciences from the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, CUHK) and Professor Liona POON (Chairperson and Professor from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, CUHK) to share their insights on how they successfully transitioned their ideas from academia to real-world applications.
