National Manned Space Programme Recruitment of Payload Specialists

For the first time, Hong Kong citizens are able to realize their space aspiration by participating in the National Manned Space Programme!
The recruitment of the fourth batch of astronauts as well as the recruitment of Payload Specialists in Hong Kong have been officially announced.
Scientists who possess doctoral degree and with at least 3 years of professional experience in the designated disciplines are being recruited for the National Manned Space Programme (中國載人航天工程) as Payload Specialists (載荷專家). During space missions, the major responsibilities for the Payload Specialists are to conduct aerospace experiments or research, operate space laboratory equipment, and manage daily operations of space stations with other astronauts.
It is not only a valuable opportunity for Hong Kong citizens to contribute to the country, but also for our scientists to demonstrate research capability towards aerospace scientific endeavour.
Interested candidates should express their intent to apply for the Payload Specialist roles by completing the online form by 5:00 p.m., 17 October 2022 (Monday), and they will be invited for preparing the formal application. More details on application procedures will be provided in due course.
