Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (KPF) is now open for applications!
Wondering how to extend your research impact beyond academia?
Turn your academic knowledge into social impact through the CUHK Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (KPF)!
By offering funding and assistance, KPF empowers CUHK professors to translate research expertise into meaningful initiatives. We are eager to receive proposals that tackle unmet social needs through innovative application of your expertise. Previous KPF projects have encompassed various impactful domains of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.
With the funding support of up to HK$400,000 and the engagement opportunities with interdisciplinary social innovators, eligible applicants can initiate trials on their innovative ideas, putting research insights into reality to address social challenges. By bridging knowledge with action, we aim to foster social inclusion and empower disadvantaged groups within the society. Learn more about the details here.
Join us for Information Session cum Talk on 16 October 2024 to explore how KPF can bring your research expertise from university to community, making a meaningful change in the lives of those beyond the university walls. Prof Catherine So, from the Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of Education, is invited to share her experiences in leveraging robots to improve the social skills of children with autism, creating social impact with the support of KPF. Ms Ryre Tam, the representative of The Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) Secretariat, is also invited to share her insights into how evidence-based research led by professors could echo the policy and create tangible impacts through support from SIE Fund. We are committed to supporting you in driving social change that resonates deeply within communities.
