The HKUST Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition Guangzhou and 2024广州科技创新创业大赛港澳台赛, with the theme of "创在广州", offer generous prize money of up to RMB 4.5 million. We sincerely invite technology teams and Startups from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas to participate and showcase their latest technological research and development achievements and entrepreneurial ideas.

During the competition, the organizing committee will continue to organize innovation and entrepreneurship themed activities, inviting young science and technology innovators, representatives of member units and partners of the HKUST innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to gather in Nansha, Guangzhou for exchanges and jointly explore new opportunities for the development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

The 2024 competition has three categories: the Greater Bay Area Industry category, the International Science and Technology Innovation category, and the College Student category. Registered local and foreign enterprises or entrepreneurial teams without business registration are accepted to register. The participation requirements include:

1. Participating companies/teams must include at least 2 members;
2. The participating companies shall operate in a standardized manner, with a business revenue not exceeding RMB 200 million in 2023 and shall be non listed enterprises;
3. The company has a good reputation for integrity, with no record of serious scientific research dishonesty or related social credit "blacklist" during the punishment execution period, and complies with the relevant regulations and requirements of the competition;
4. The top three projects in the sub regions of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition that have won previous awards from participating companies cannot register again.
5. In addition to meeting the above conditions, participating teams must also meet one of the following conditions in order to qualify for the semi-finals and finals of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan competition:
   1. Members include individuals of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan nationality;
   2. There are members who have obtained degree certificates issued by universities in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan;
   3. Members who have studied or worked in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan for more than one year;
   4. Enterprises registered in mainland China with investment or equity participation from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan;
   5. Enterprises registered and established in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
