• To support promising early-career researchers in conducting research on topics aligned with the prescribed priorities and societal challenges, which should be transformative for the researcher and the advancement of their field.

• Rethinking Social Contracts for the 21st Century – Demographic Change, Social Protection and Solidarity

• Proposed research could explore, but is not limited to, one or more aspects of the following:

  • Demographic Shifts

  • Mirgration 

  • The Future of Work

• Applicants should be early-career researchers who have been holding a PhD for no longer than five years.

  • Candidates must be awarded their PhD and have defended their PhD certification before applying.

  • Applicants must not have a permanent (tenured or tenure-track) position.

  • Eligible postdoctoral applicants must submit their applications via their CUHK supervisors of the proposed research projects.

•  €140,000 (Euro) for a period of two years

  • The budget will cover the annual salary of the researcher, equipment/resources, academic activities, and outreach activities.
