To apply for external grants, there are some procedures in general:

Identify funding by Search Grants

Complete application form/project proposal and the required supporting documents

Seek endorsement from Department/School on the application/ proposal (with supporting documents)
*For applicants who cannot meet the eligibility requirement on PIs of external research grants as set out by the University, you must seek for the special approval.

Submit application materials to Grants Teams, ORKTS for vetting and rendering of University's Endorsement

Revise the application/proposal in accordance with the comments from Grants Team, ORKTS

Submit the duly completed and signed application materials to Grants Team, ORKTS after the application/proposal has been finalized

Grants Team, ORKTS arranges for Institutional Endorsement and submits the application materials to grantor/award organizer

  • VeriGuide scanning result (depends on the requirement of individual schemes)
  • Statement of endorsement (depends on the requirement of individual schemes)
  • Collaborative Agreement (depends on the requirement of individual schemes)
  • Copy of partner's application form for joint research schemes
