Nature

The Scheme aims to promote research collaborations between Hong Kong and Germany by providing researchers in the two places with one-year / two-year travel grants.

Funding Duration

12 months or 24 months

Funding Amount
  1. HK$45,000 per year for projects involving travel of research postgraduate student(s); OR
  1. HK$30,000 per year for projects not involving students’ travel

Remarks
  • Parallel submissions from Hong Kong and German applicants are required.
  • For applications in request for funding amount (i), travel of RPg student(s) must be accompanied by the PI, otherwise the funding awarded may have to be returned to the RGC.

Hong Kong applicants please submit the following to Grants Team, ORKTS <orkts_grants@cuhk.edu.hk> by the internal deadline. Late applications will not be accepted.

  1. Full set of application materials (in PDF) (template is available here)
  2. Completed Undertaking Form via AIMS (please find the instructions here)
  3. Statement of Endorsement from the Head of relevant academic unit (original copy)
  4. VeriGuide scanning reference number

An acknowledgement email would be sent to applicant upon receipt of application materials.
