Further to the HSSPFS workshop organized for providing a better undertaking of the scheme and an introduction of internal support programme (details appended below), initial applications for HSSPFS 2024/25 are now invited.

Nature
  • To provide opportunities for outstanding investigators with a proven track record of research and publication to be granted with extended time-off and supporting funds for research work and writing.

  • A wide range of research activities can be supported provided that these activities will lead to significant research or other outputs.

Internal selection to meet the institutional quota of 5

Shortlisted applicants would be invited to submit formal proposals via the RGC Electronic System (ES)

8 Jan 2024 (Mon)

(Optional) Shortlisted applicants to submit proposals for Internal Mentorship

10-11 Jan 2024

(Optional) One-on-one consultation session to be arranged for each applicant

By 25 Jan 2024 (Thu)

Shortlisted applicants to submit final version of formal proposals via ES for University’s Endorsement

By 7 Feb 2024 (Wed)

Finalized proposal to be submitted to RGC by the external deadline

Applicants please submit the following to Grants Team, ORKTS <orkts_grants@cuhk.edu.hk> by the aforementioned deadline. Late applications will not be accepted. Please reserve sufficient time for online submission.

  1. Initial proposal via Internal Application System
    1. Click “Log in via SAML”, log-in using CUHK One-Pass Login
    2. Click “RGC Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme (HSSPFS) 2024/25”
    3. Follow instructions to complete the initial proposal
  1. Duly signed Undertaking form
  2. Duly signed Statement of Endorsement form
