Nature

The LCF (Research Project) aims to:

• promote conservation of Lantau, and to pursue minor local improvement works in villages and communities in support of conservation initiatives; and
• support conservation-related scientific research or culture and local history research.

The proposed projects should fulfill the following basic requirements:

• The projects must contribute to the conservation of Lantau, or raise conservation awareness of the local community, or engage the community in conserving Lantau.
• The benefits of the projects must accrue to the community as a whole, and not just to individuals, a single private organisation or consortium of private companies.
• The projects must be non-profit-making in nature.

Priority Projects

When everything of projects considered being equal, priority consideration will be given in the assessment to support projects that match with the planning intention of the Lantau Conservation and Recreation Masterplan and the conservation themes.

Funding Amount per Project

$0.25 million to $2.5 million

Max. 3 years
