Further to the pre-announcement made on 29 Oct 2024, initial applications for DYSF and EYSF 2025 are now invited.
The University is offering a support programme to DYSF and EYSF applicants as an option to enhance their proposals. External review service is offered to both DYSF and EYSF applicants; while internal mentorship will be arranged for EYSF applicants only. EYSF applicants who prefer to receive the support services may choose between the two tracks as indicated below.
Notwithstanding, DYSF and EYSF applicants can still follow the regular channel for submission to NSFC, which the application will open around January 2025. Information about the call last year can be accessed here.

Application Procedure –
Applicants please submit the following to Grants Team, ORKTS by the respective deadlines.
- Initial proposal via the Internal Application System:
- Click “Log in via SAML”, log-in using CUHK One-Pass Login*
- Click “NSFC DYSF and EYSF 2025”
- Follow instructions to complete the initial proposal
* For applicant who does not have CUHK One-Pass Login, please send your name, email address and affiliating department to orkts_grants@cuhk.edu.hk for system access arrangement.
ii. Declaration form endorsed by Head of relevant academic unit via the e-Declaration System (details available here).
Briefing Session –
A Briefing Session is organized for participants to get first-hand tips and insights in developing a competitive application from our NSFC awardees. Details are as follows:
